Supporting Research

Math Pathways & Pitfalls is effective with diverse learners in urban, rural, and suburban settings because our approach is built on a solid research foundation.

Rigorous scientific studies continue to demonstrate the program’s effectiveness. Important findings include significant positive effects for:

  • Mathematics learning for diverse students (including on standardized tests)
  • Academic language learning in mathematics
  • English learner achievement (on English language standardized mathematics tests)

Learn about the findings, along with additional resources, articles, and studies of interest to administrators and educators who want to know more about the rationale behind our approach to intervention.
